Fast 10: Recap and Year 3
Since the Lord assigned the Fast 10 back in February 2023, we have been fasting monthly every 10th of the month from March until December. The assignment of the Fast 10 was given and shared with you all “in preparation for impending devastation around the world with a focus on the key verse John 10:10: “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” John 10:10 NKJV”
Over the past couple of years, we saw some shakings here and there as the Lord said we would with some moments of chaos such as wars, digital blackouts, natural disasters, and famines. Instead of panicking and operating in fear, the Lord had been primarily focused on drawing us back to him, bringing us to a place of repentance and growing us in our relationship with him. This is the foundation that will be needed to sustain us during this time of rapid political, societal, and economic change in first, our homes and families and also the countries and nations around the world.
Just as Jesus said in Matthew 7:24-25 AMPC:
“24 So everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts upon them [obeying them] will be like a sensible (prudent, practical, wise) man who built his house upon the rock. 25 And the rain fell and the floods came and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.”
Focus for 2025
Clearly what we saw in 2023 and 2024 is nothing compared to the first quarter of 2025, but I have faith that the Lord will continue to lead and pour into us as long as we abide (remain) in Him. Over the past couple of months the Lord has been really highlighting things that He is breaking off of us in 2025.
Spiritual blindness and/or deafness
Disorder in families and the home
All forms of Idolatry
Idols in the heart
Extended Wilderness seasons (delays)
More on the Wilderness
I’m also seeing that this year a lot of people will be “stripped down” of things that once made up their identity and provided security or comfort in the times that God didn’t feel like enough. But the Lord is using these situations to draw them back to Himself.
These are hardships that the Lord is allowing to strengthen and stretch His people for what’s to come in the future but more importantly, the spreading of the gospel and the leading of others to salvation.
“2 Remember that the Lord your God led you on the entire journey these forty years in the wilderness, so that he might humble you and test you to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands. - Deuteronomy 8:2
“Eyes but can’t see, ears but can’t hear”
I’ve been coming across scriptures that speak of that theme “Eyes but can’t see, ears but can’t hear” and this thought has been coming to mind: How you can you fight an enemy you can’t see and how can you receive divine strategy to overcome the enemy if you can’t hear the instructions from God?
For the month of March (and beyond) it is going to be very important to press and go deeper into the Bible, taking our devotional times more seriously, and praying that God would sharpen our spiritual eyes and ears. The past couple of weeks, the Lord has been really highlighting this spiritual blindness and deafness and I believe it’s something that the body of Christ is experiencing right now, but have brushed it off.
Examples:
Have no idea that they are (‘going spiritually blind/deaf), but are still going through the motions
Have given up on God from being weary by the issues of life and attacks from the enemy
Not wanting to sacrifice more for God (A revelation I heard from one minister last week)
Have allowed their hearts to grow cold and hard-heartedness has entered causing them to not care anymore about the things of God (loss of reverence for God)
Unrepentant sin
Loss of consecration and intimacy with God (Decrease in reading of the word, worship, prayer etc)
Who do you say I am?
In my own dry seasons (where i’ve experience spiritual blindness/deafness to some extent) and reflecting on my life before re-dedication, I’ve come to realize that all of the above have one theme in common and that is a limited revelation of Jesus and a lack of a true relationship with him.
Peter had a revelation of Jesus (from the Father) where he opened his eyes to see Jesus for who he was, the messiah. It was in his knowledge of Christ that Peter’s identity and purpose were then revealed to him.
15 “But you,” he asked them, “who do you say that I am?” 16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” 17 Jesus responded, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but my Father in heaven. - Matthew 16:15-17
In this month, reflect on who Jesus is to you right now in this season. Just as he asked Peter, he is asking all of us, “who do you say I am?”
Prayer Points
Prayers of Repentance
Ask the Holy Spirit to search your heart
Repent and ask God to have mercy for any time that you may have grieved his spirit, rejected his grace, hardened your hearts toward a correction He gave to you directly or through someone else, raised an idol in place of intimacy with Him, left your consecrations or the secret place…
Forgive and release people out of your heart (people on social media that offended you, politicians, leaders etc).
If you have seen a decrease in spiritual dreams but an increase in carnal dreams, ask God to show you mercy where you may have disregarded Him trying to speak to you. (whether it’s not writing them down or not bringing them back to him in prayer)
Pray that God would give you ‘spiritual eyes and ears’ that you may walk in alignment with him and his will
Prayers for Reset
Pray for a fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit and that the Lord would watch over you and guide you
Ask God to soften your heart again toward His will and to help you love Him again
Pray that he would cleanse you and wash you clean
Prayers according to Paul’s prayer for spiritual insight in Ephesians 1:15-19 (read it over below)
“15 This is why, since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, 16 I never stop giving thanks for you as I remember you in my prayers. 17 I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, would give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him. 18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened so that you may know what is the hope of his calling, what is the wealth of his glorious inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the mighty working of his strength.”
Pray that Jesus would reveal himself to you everyday and that you would begin to have an even deeper revelation of Christ + develop a hunger for the word of God
Pray that God would remove every spiritual blindness and deafness that has made it hard to hear His voice or to see and discern what He’s doing in your life
Pray that God would give you the Spirit of Wisdom, the Spirit of Revelation and that the eyes of your heart would be enlightened according to Ephesians 1:17-19 NLT.
God is for you!
Some scriptures about His Character to reflect on
Ephesians 1:3-8 NLT
“4 Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. 5 God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. 6 So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. 7 He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. 8He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding.”
Psalm 103:6-14 NLT
6 The Lord gives righteousness
and justice to all who are treated unfairly.
7 He revealed his character to Moses
and his deeds to the people of Israel.
8 The Lord is compassionate and merciful,
slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.
9 He will not constantly accuse us,
nor remain angry forever.
10 He does not punish us for all our sins;
he does not deal harshly with us, as we deserve.
11 For his unfailing love toward those who fear him
is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth.
12 He has removed our sins as far from us
as the east is from the west.
13 The Lord is like a father to his children,
tender and compassionate to those who fear him.
14 For he knows how weak we are;
he remembers we are only dust.
Ways to overcome spiritual blindness and deafness
Abiding (Remaining) in Christ -> Spend more time in the secret place and learn God’s voice. Read and really study His word and watch sermons to gain deeper revelation
“4 Remain in me, and I in you. Just as a branch is unable to produce fruit by itself unless it remains on the vine, neither can you unless you remain in me. 5 I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in me and I in him produces much fruit, because you can do nothing without me.” - John 15:4-5
Living a lifestyle of Repentance
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. - 1 John 1:9
Being aware of pride/spiritual pride.
“12 So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall! - 1 Corinthians 10:12
18 Pride comes before destruction, and an arrogant spirit before a fall. 19 Better to be lowly of spirit with the humble than to divide plunder with the proud. - Proverbs 16:18-19
Constantly asking God to search your heart -> especially for idols and ulterior motives
Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. - Psalm 139:23
Stay in Community and have fellowship with people
“Without good direction, people lose their way; the more wise counsel you follow, the better your chances.”- Proverbs 11:14 MSG
Praying for the Lord to reveal Himself to you in dreams and visions
14 For God speaks again and again, though people do not recognize it. 15 He speaks in dreams, in visions of the night,
when deep sleep falls on people as they lie in their beds. 16 He whispers in their ears and terrifies them with warnings.
17 He makes them turn from doing wrong; he keeps them from pride. 18 He protects them from the grave, from crossing over the river of death. - Job 33:14-18If you have not been dreaming at all or if your dreams primarily consist of you being chased, darkness, nightmares etc, it is likely a sign that the enemy is actively attacking your spiritual sight and ability to see and hear from God. This is a limitation that we can normalize or come into agreement with if we are not careful. Don’t allow the enemy (or what other people say) limit your ability to experience a limit-less God!
Always remember to ask the Holy Spirit to also help you discern what dreams are from you, from the enemy, and from your own soul. He can also give you the interpretation of those dreams! Not all dreams that you have will be from God!
